International Faculty Office (IFO) | The International Faculty Office (IFO) at the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science provides support for both incoming and outgoing students. Their services include organizing a buddy program, hosting events and activities for international students, and advising on study abroad opportunities. The Housing Service at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences provides furnished rooms for international students who are not yet fluent in German. These accommodations are located in the student dormitories operated by Studentenwerk Osnabrück, which manages over 20 dormitories throughout the city.
Room prices vary based on size, location, and amenities. On average, costs range from 260 to 400 EUR per month, with dormitories closer to the city center typically being more expensive. Most dorms include internet access and laundry facilities, which can be operated using coins or a student ID (known as the "campus card").

While there is no German proficiency requirement for the Master's program in Design Entrepreneurship, having some knowledge of German can be beneficial for navigating daily life at the university and in the city. German language skills are also essential for those looking to secure employment in Germany.

- Intensive German Courses - The International Summer and Winter Language Schools at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences offer intensive German language courses combined with a cultural orientation program. These courses provide international students with an opportunity to acclimate to life in Osnabrück and Germany while making new friends, all before the start of each semester.

The LearningCenter | Through individual advising, training and the provision of materials and digital tools, the LearningCenter helps student develop the skills they need to succeed in their studies and their career. International Students can benefit from study counseling sessions, focused on specific support needs, such as organizing and motivating oneself to study successfully, improving scientific writing and presentations, communicating and working better with others, among others. The experienced colleagues from the LearningCenter offer study counselling directly on our campus. AStA (Referat Internationales) | AStA stand for the Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss, or General Students' Committee. They are students who work on a voluntary basis to further student interests at the university, for example by representing the students in university government and organizing events on campus. The AStA advises individual students about a wide range of topics related to student life and connects students to free and low-cost resources, such as free legal counseling. The AStA also offers a copy service and rents out tools, technical and sport equipment. Counselling Center | Studying far from home can be very difficult, and at least one in four students experiences serious mental health problems at university. From exam anxiety to loneliness, financial, family or relationship stress, anxieties about the future, general feelings of sadness, anxiety, self-doubt or disorientation, or even alcohol, drug or other dependencies: The Counselling Center of the Studierendewerk Osnabrück offers free phsychological and social counseling to help students find their way through difficulties. |
