Professional title

According to Art. 1, Sect. 1 of the Nieders?chsisches

Ingenieurgesetz (Lower Saxony Engineering Act, ¡°NIngG¡±), the B.Eng. degree also entitles the recipient to carry the professional title of ¡°Engineer.¡± This also gives them the opportunity to join the Chamber of Engineers.

Subject-related admission requirements and selection procedure

The following is required:

  • 12 months of vocational placement in Landscape Gardening and Construction
  • 6 months of vocational placement in Landscape Gardening and Construction and 6 months in a tree nursery or perennial nursery.

Training in related professions is partially credited to the vocational placement. Parts of the vocational placement can also be fulfilled alongside the degree program.

Degree program

Program structure 

The six-semester program is offered in a modular format. Successful completion of modules is credited based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). This system facilitates mobility between comparable courses in Germany and abroad.

The bachelor¡¯s degree program ¡°Landscape Engineering¡± is part of a joint program of degree courses in the field of landscape architecture at Osnabr¨¹ck University of Applied Sciences. Due to the subject-related similarities and a wide range of professional connections, three programs begin with an identical first semester.
